lyrics

22 now, not yet 23 and
It's just wrong to expect any more of me
I traded my education for drugs and booze and
I turn to the back of the paper, cos I don't care about the news now
And I don't have the looks, so I don't get the birds
And I've given up on second, I'm just dreaming of a third place
22 now, not yet 23 and
My parents seem to have already given up on me.

This is my life, this ain't a phase.
But I don't care, I'm living in a daze.

32 now, not yet 33 and
My missus, she expects too much of me
I had to give up the fags, so now I'm hooked on tea
The rhythm of times is bouncing on my knee
All because I missed the first bus to start my life
And then I missed the next two, so I settled for a trouble and strife
32 now, not yet 33 and
My children, they ask too much me

This is my life, this ain't phase.
But I don't care, I'm living in a daze.

42 now, not yet 43 and
I am dead, cause I gave up on me
